For me the Amal was a safe space where I experienced a whole new life. From video making to blog writing, it was a whole new experience for me. Now when I am ending my journey here, my feelings are very much like a girl passing out from high school, with tons of memories yet all excited to start the new chapter of life.
Amal has given me all that was promised. From polishing my communication skills or boosting up my confidence, from the in person sessions to mock interviews, Amal was a journey of self discovery and being a better version of myself. I am sad that this beautiful journey is coming to an end but yet happy that I have an extraordinary skilled team by my side.
I was not always the person that I am today. I was an introverted person and was not clear about my life goals. I was not able to speak about dark phases of my life and was not willing to accept my weaknesses. But Amal has taught me how to wear my scars as my medals. It was AMAL where I realized that
“Our greatest glory is not in never falling,
But in rising every time we fall.”
In the second week, I was astonished to learn about the purpose maps. I never realized the importance of “Defining your Whys”. I came to know that I was leading an abstract life, I did not know why and what I was doing. But after doing this activity I came to know how I can identify my dream and what I can do to make that dream into reality.
The beautiful things I learnt at AMAL are giving constructive feedback, paying appreciation and gratitude to everyone around. I think these are the most important things that we forget in our daily chaos. And AMAL made me realize that we can make life beautiful by just paying attention to these little things.
To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant
To enact gratitude is generous and noble
But to live gratitude is to touch heaven.
Much gratitude to the Amal family who helped me in becoming a “better me”. I will definitely miss these one on one sessions, in person talks, different activities and especially my mentors and fellows with their warm smiles.
During Amal fellowship, I learnt:
Be Grateful
Self Reflect
Live a Life of Purpose
Thank you AMAL for giving me the best experience of my life. I will forever be grateful for this amazing journey.
